Wooden candle jar is used for this type of candle. A large cotton wick lasts longer, burns well, and are cleaner but they require care. Here are some tips that help your candle last longer and burn correctly:

1- On the first burn, allow the wax to melt across the entire diameter of the candle (usually for this type of candle takes about 30 mins)

2_ Trim the wick before each use. remove all the charred wood from previous burns. 

3_ Do not burn longer than 2-3 hours

4_ Do not burn all the way down

5_ Burn your candle away from air vents
